Marco Ferrara

I am an Italian artist, but currently I live in London. I'm a freelance illustrator and I collaborate as set and costume designer with "Fondazione Aida", a Theatre in the city of Verona. Over time I have developed great skill with traditional techniques, particularly in the use of pencil on paper. But in the last years I devoted myself often to the digital painting with Photoshop to achieve graphic works and paintings for animated project. I like to change style and to experiment new ways of art, sometime I carry out very colorful stylized illustrations and sometimes I prefer photorealistic and black and white illustrations.

particularly love animation because it allows me to combine my passion for drawing and my passion for cinema, so I had the good fortune to be employed at Rainbow CGI, an animation studio based in Rome, as environment designer and color key artist for the animated movie "Gladiators of Rome", a production by Rainbow CGI and Paramount pictures, written by the academy award winner Michael J Wilson.
